DATABASE

From this page it is possible to reach and consult the Floranet LIFE Floristic Geodatabase (you can access it as a guest from the login page).
The database includes bibliographic, herbarium, and field data (preliminary surveys and monitoring) relating to the seven target species included in the LIFE15 NAT / IT / 000946 FLORANET project: Cypripedium calceolus L., Adonis distorta Ten., Androsace mathildae Levier, Iris marsica I.Ricci & Colas., Astragalus aquilanus Anzal., Klasea lycopifolia (Vill.) Á.Löve & D.Löve, Jacobaea vulgaris Gaertn. subsp. gotlandica (Neuman) B.Nord.
The floristic database was built with FileMaker Pro 16 Advanced software and integrated with QGIS. In the version available online, the cartography function is disabled. It is divided into different tables, which in turn contain different masks / display formats.
Considering that the species included in the Floranet project are very rare, protected nationally and internationally, and some populations at risk of extinction, we decided to put online a database in which point station data were obscured.
Here are some images of the screens to better specify the contents of the DATABASE.

Flora of Italy

General information is given regarding the 7 target species to which a “unique code” has been assigned which allows the relationship between the various tables.
Nomenclature and regional distribution of the target species are in accordance with the recent Flora d’Italia checklist (Bartolucci et al. 2018).

Target species
For each of the target species, the data present in the Field Surveys, Herbarium Apenninicum, Herbaria and Bibliographic References tables are summarized. In addition, some data already present in the Flora d’Italia table are displayed such as species name, synonyms, Italian name, conservation aspects, etc.

Field surveys
All the data acquired during the field surveys carried out as part of the project are reported. For each detected population there is one record in this table.
The information reported in the table is in accordance with what is proposed at national level in the monitoring protocols of the species included in the Habitat Directive (Ercole et al. 2016).

“Herbarium Apenninicum” APP
It reports the studied herbarium samples preserved at the Herbarium Apenninicum of the Floristic Research Center of the Apennines.

Herbaria
Report the samples studied and stored in other public herbaria: AQUI (L’Aquila), CAT (Catania), FI (Florence), GZU (Graz), NAP (Naples), P (Paris), PAL (Palermo), PRC ( Prague), WU (Vienna) (acronyms follow Thiers 2018) and in the Herbarium of the Majella National Park.

Bibliographical references
Contains bibliographic data relating to the 7 target species.

Locality
All the locations mentioned in the bibliography, herbarium samples or field surveys are indicated. Each location is georeferenced, with attached information on inclusion in SIC or SPA. The data in the bibliography, herbarium samples or field surveys that report that locality are also summarized.
